The Coanda Effect is a physical phenomenon where a fluid (including gases and liquids) comes into contact with a curved object, it turns and flows along the curve, changing its flow direction and creating a low-pressure area. For instance, in the illustration on the left, under normal circumstances, water flows straight down to point A; when a spoon is placed in the path of the water flow, the water adheres to the spoon's surface and flows to point B, demonstrating the Coanda Effect.

Applying this principle, the specially designed curved panels effectively guide airflow along the contours of the panel, preventing cold air from blowing directly onto people. If the air conditioner is not cleaned regularly, the heat exchanger can accumulate bacteria and dirt, leading to unpleasant odours, health concerns, and reduced efficiency of the air conditioner. Cleaning the heat exchanger regularly helps remove these impurities, ensuring fresh air, improving efficiency, and extending the lifespan of the air conditioner.

The Clean Operation utilises condensation water from cooling mode to rinses off dust from the surface of the heat exchanger. It then dries the heat exchanger with airflow, preventing mould growth.

Operating Steps:

Step 1 Condensation: The air conditioner begins the cooling operation, lowering the temperature of the indoor unit to the dew point temperature and increasing relative humidity to over 90%. At this point, the air near the heat exchanger condenses on the fins, forming condensation water.

Step 2 Washing: The fins of the heat exchanger are coated with a hydrophilic layer. The condensation water flows along the fins, carrying away dust and dirt.

Step 3 Drying: The fan operation starts to dry the heat exchanger, preventing mould growth caused by residual moisture, ensuring fresh air.
