Southward and northward are
the most ideal directions for the installation of
air-conditioner. With moderate sunshine and good ventilation
in these two directions, sound effects of air-conditioning can
be achieved in a room without demanding a very strong cooling
capacity. (westward — bright sunset shining; northward
— strong wind) |

| When the air-conditioner
is not cool enough, please check whether: |
| A. |
the temperature is properly
pre-set by the temperature adjuster; |
| B. |
heat-generating appliances,
such as electric heater or gas appliances, are turned
on in the room; |
| C. |
bright sunshine gets into
the room. |

The temperature of air-conditioner
should be set at 26°C ~ 28°C. According to statistical figures,
by adjusting the temperature upward by 1oC, consumers can save
6% of power consumption of air-conditioner. For rooms that are
visited frequently, indoor temperature should not be lower than
the outdoor temperature by more than 5°C, so as to ensure
the health condition of human body. |

What is "EER value"?
EER is the abbreviation of the term "energy efficiency
ratio," which is a value resulted from dividing the BTU
(Kcal/H) of air-conditioner by power consumption (W). Simply
speaking, EER is the BTU value caused by every watt of power
consumption. The higher the EER, the higher the efficiency of
air-conditioner, and the better its power-saving effect. Comparing
two air-conditioners having the same BTU value, the one with
higher EER is the one having better power-saving effect. |

|
|
|

Normally, the EER of air-conditioner should
be 2.22 or above. |

Users of air-conditioner are reminded
that in hot summer, difference in indoor and outdoor temperature
should not be too significant, and the former should be kept
at
3 ~ 5°C lower than the latter, so as to ensure the health
condition of human body. |

A refrigeration ton refers to the
BTU of air-conditioner per hour. One refrigeration ton
is about 12,000 BTU of heat transmitting from indoor to outdoor
per hour. Before purchasing a suitable air-conditioner, consumer
should consider the size and
direction of room, as well as your budget. |

Split air-conditioner is composed
of indoor and outdoor units, ensuring a relatively quiet indoor
environment. However, since the motor and compressor of split
air-conditioner are installed outdoors, which has to be connected
via copper pipe, professional technician should to be hired
for installation. |

| Advantages of split air-conditioner:
|
| A. |
Relatively quiet |
| B. |
Suitable for rooms without
available space for the installation of air-conditioner. |

Do not clean the filter of air-conditioner
by water with temperature above 40°C. Simply clean the filter
with clear water or using soft brush to remove dirt. Do not
use hot water for cleaning. Do not expose the filter directly
to sunshine for drying; otherwise, the filter will be contracted
and deformed due to high temperature. Filters should be examined
every 7 ~ 20 days. If it is too dirty, it should be cleaned
immediately, or else, room temperature cannot be lowered and
causes wastage of power. |
